ExecOnline Celebrates International Women’s Day

We are challenging ourselves to think about Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day a little differently this year. COVID-19 has resulted in simultaneous economic, health, and social crises, and as the demands of both personal and professional obligations associated with the pandemic increased, we have seen women, especially women of color, leaving the workforce in higher numbers and more rapidly than men. Just in the past year, nearly 3 million American women have left the labor force.

At ExecOnline, we believe it’s as important as ever that women have a support system to accompany them through the many obstacles in their personal and professional lives.  Our Women’s ERG hopes to become that support system within ExecOnline and for our global community of women leaders.

Early this year, ExecOnline launched six ERGs, and throughout Women’s History Month, we are featuring some of the incredible women in our Women’s ERG on our social media channels, as they share their experiences, advice, and motivations.

International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, our Women’s ERG hosted a fireside chat for employees. Our guest speakers were two remarkable women of ExecOnline who inspire us each and every day. We encourage everyone to watch the powerful #ChooseToChallenge discussion starter video below, which set the stage for our discussion.

Our featured speakers, Paige Carter, Executive Director, Account Management, and Ashwini Ganamani, Senior Business Data Analyst, shared their stories and motivated us in so many ways.

From challenge comes change, and this is just the beginning as we work to empower the personal and professional growth of women within ExecOnline and take what we learn back to the broader community.
