Professor Paul Bracken serves as a professor of management and political science at Yale University. He is a respected expert in the strategic application of technology in business and defense and global competition.
A leading professor of executive education, he focuses his instruction and research on solutions for senior management within a changing strategic environment and under conditions of intense uncertainty. He was recently named in Princeton Review’s The Best 300 professors in America.
Bringing together practical as well as academic perspectives, he is a consultant to private equity funds, accounting, and insurance companies as well as several arms of the U.S. Government. He often runs role playing war games for organizations facing complex new environments, recently simulating business strategy games on US financial services in the new regulatory environment, technology integration games for Wall Street, and the future of European financial services.
Before joining the Yale faculty, Professor Bracken led the management consulting arm of the Hudson Institute for ten years. He has served on the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel, and on the Board of Advisors of the U.S. Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He earned his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Yale University.
