About the Course

AI transformation is not just about technology adoption. It’s about reimagining how your organization operates, competes, and grows in the age of artificial intelligence.

In Leading AI Transformation, Professors Sara Beckman, Thomas Lee, and Jennifer Chatman present a six-week, cohort-based program which equips senior leaders with frameworks, tools, and leadership practices needed to guide AI transformation within their organizations.

Participants will explore how AI is reshaping industries, how to harness it for efficiency and decision-making, how to transform customer experiences, and how to unlock innovation and cultural change. By the end of this program, participants will produce customized AI Transformation Roadmaps.

Who Should Attend

  • Senior Leaders
  • Directors

Course Structure

  • 6 week duration, 30 hours to complete requirements
  • 5 hours of on-demand, HD lectures
  • Six professor-led Live Forum events
  • Professor interactions, group learning, and optional coaching sessions
  • Facilitated intra-company team meetings
  • Final project (AI Transformation Roadmap), which integrates weekly activities

Key Takeaways

  • AI transformation is led, not delegated. Leaders own weekly actions; they don’t hand the work to IT or a data team.
  • The discipline of innovation hasn’t changed, but AI changes its speed, scale, and the cost of being wrong.
  • AI is a thinking partner, not an oracle. Surface its Most Dangerous Assumption, critique its outputs, decide what’s immutable. You are the leader.
  • Stakeholder buy-in is the throughline. Jobs-to-be-Done, journey mapping, and pitch variations matter more than the underlying model.
  • Run experiments, not announcements. Shadow-mode pilots and concierge tests are how you de-risk AI bets before scaling.

Upcoming Course Dates

  • July 6 – August 16
  • October 12 – November 22

The Week 6 capstone, “AI Transformation Roadmap,” is a six-section synthesis assignment in which participants integrate every prior week’s output into a 12-month roadmap — articulating their AI Transformation Stance, immutable constraints, the evolution of their Most Dangerous Assumption, a stakeholder-specific strategic narrative, and the leadership actions they personally will take in the next 30 days.
