Co-Founder & CEO

Stephen Bailey is the Founder and CEO of ExecOnline, a leading provider of B2B leadership development solutions through partnerships with the world’s top business schools. Prior to ExecOnline, he served as the CEO of Frontier Strategy Group (FSG), a software and information services business serving Fortune 500 executives who have responsibility for international markets. Stephen grew the business from an early-stage start-up to a company that served nearly half the Fortune 500 across a range of international markets and business functions. Prior to his role as CEO, he was FSG’s first Chief Product Officer. Before joining FSG, Stephen was an associate in the venture capital and private equity group of WilmerHale. Stephen is the Board Chair of the Truman Center for National Policy and member of the Board of Prospect Schools, a charter school network in NYC. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Emory University and holds a JD from the Yale Law School.

Mark brings 20+ years of consultative client experience to his discussions with Fortune 500 clients and elite partner institutions.

Prior to joining the founding team at ExecOnline, Mark was a Managing Director at CEB supporting heads of human resources and their teams in the CLC-HR practice. Mark was also a leader in the strategy, management and innovation practice and a member of CEB’s European leadership team and helped successfully launch the Business Leadership Forum serving divisional presidents.

Mark received a B.A. in History from Princeton where he was Co-Captain of the Tennis team. Mark played tennis professionally for 8 years in Europe and on the ATP tour before earning his MBA from Kellogg.

Julia is responsible for global course operations, data and analytics, and university partnerships. She brings her passion for data-driven decision making, innovative content delivery channels, and superior client service to ExecOnline’s programs.

Julia previously served as CEO of Dalberg Research, an emerging markets-focused global research firm and began her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Julia holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in International Relations from Stanford University.

Adam Brinegar

Adam brings a deep understanding of corporate best practices, and a passion for practical insights, to his work with clients.

Adam leads ExecOnline’s Client Solutions team where he is responsible for deepening and expanding relationships with our growing client base. Adam spent 10 years leading research and advising Fortune 500 CHROs for the Corporate Leadership Council at CEB, where he led the development of groundbreaking insights on nearly ever facet of talent management and leadership development.

Adam holds Ph.D. and MA degrees in Political Science from Duke University, and a BA in Political Science from The Ohio State University.

Barry brings more than 20 years of technology and customer experience to his work at ExecOnline.

With a passion for education and learning outcomes combined with a zeal for clean and intuitive user experiences, Barry has built high-performing teams and technologies at numerous cutting-edge organizations. Previously, Barry was CTO at HNW Inc., kgbdeals Inc. and at Unigo.com where he was the chief architect responsible for defining and implementing technology and software for web and mobile-based products. He was also head of technology and software at The Princeton Review, Zedak Corp., and ACTV, Inc.

Barry is a member of the New York CTO Club. He received his BS in computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Hoyun Kim

Hoyun Kim joined ExecOnline in 2016 to build its legal department and people operations, leveraging her prior experience leading both functions at a venture-backed emerging markets consulting firm.

As Chief Legal Officer, Hoyun oversees all compliance, transactional, and corporate governance matters. Earlier in her career, she practiced law at several prominent Washington, DC law firms, representing both publicly-traded and private companies in financing and business transactions, and complex commercial litigation. While continuing to lead the company’s legal strategy and operations, Hoyun is also stepping into a new role as ExecOnline’s Head of Inclusion.

Hoyun received her BA in English Literature, with honors, from George Washington University, where she also received her law degree.

Michael has a personal and professional passion for the impact of learning and brings over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy, business development and operations focused on growth.

Previously Michael served as CFO and EVP for Cengage Learning, Chief Strategy Officer of EverFi and spent over fifteen years as a senior executive at Black Entertainment Television Networks (BET) and BET online.

Michael holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania as well as MS and BS degrees in engineering from Stanford University.

Dani Cushion

Dani Cushion leads global marketing and communications, with a focus on driving significant company growth. 

Prior to ExecOnline, she served as CMO at Cardlytics, where she developed the global marketing vision and positioned the company for a highly successful IPO. As SVP marketing and communications at Millennial Media, she saw the company through rapid growth, including its IPO, international expansion, and numerous acquisitions. Dani began her career in sports marketing at SiriusXM, Swiss-based ISL, Omnicom agency MIllsport/The Marketing Arm, and Major League Soccer. She has a personal passion for investing in others to help them grow and serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Technology (WIT), a non-profit dedicated to empowering girls and women to excel in STEAM. Dani graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University with a Marketing major and Philosophy minor, and was a four-year starter for the Women’s Soccer team, captaining the squad her junior and senior years.

Matthew Castaldo is a seasoned human resources executive focused on implementing talent strategies that enable rapid growth. He has deep expertise in the professional services and technology sectors, and has served in a variety of leadership roles across the HR suite. 

Matt comes to ExecOnline from McDermott Will & Emery, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer. McDermott achieved double-digit revenue growth in each year of Matt’s tenure, and was featured on numerous best places to work, diversity, and wellness surveys through its relentless focus on attorney feedback and career pathing, innovative benefits, commitment to equality, and a “different-in-kind” law firm culture. Prior to joining McDermott, Matt spent 15 years at CEB. CEB experienced exponential growth in this timeframe, with Matt serving in key talent leadership roles in HR business partnership, global recruiting, talent analytics, and organizational design and effectiveness. Matt graduated with honors from the College of William & Mary, receiving a BA in Psychology, and resides in Washington, DC with his wife and two young children.
